The Montreal Chinese Hospital Foundation was established in 1972 for the purpose of receiving and maintaining funds in order to make contributions to the Montreal Chinese Hospital (a long-term care facility) and other related medical services beneficial to and required by the Chinese and south-east Asian communities of Montreal. The funds raised by the Foundation are for the purchase of medical equipment and to support social-cultural programs designed to enhance the well-being of the Montreal Chinese Hospital patients, as these items are not covered by the budget of the Quebec government
