This itinerary will immerse you in one of the city’s liveliest districts, recognized for its festivals. Both day and night, you will be exposed to unique artworks installed inside and outside buildings and in plazas, or even painted and projected on the walls of many cultural institutions. Beginning with the first work of art installed in the Montréal’metro in 1966, the tour in the Quartier des spectacles offers a selection of artworks that can be seen in the neighbourhood.

Tour In the heart of Ville‑Marie

Set off on an exploration of the public art in the Quartier Latin and the Quartier des Spectacles, two neighbourhoods in Ville-Marie that are essential to Montreal life! Run in partnership with 16/42 Tours, this two-hour walking tour explores the heart of Ville-Marie, a borough that covers a big stretch of downtown Montreal between Mount Royal and the Saint-Lawrence River. You’ll discover fifteen works of art from public and private collections including sculptures, art installations, and murals.

While St. Catherine Street is undergoing a makeover, the Shopping in the 19th and 20th Centuries tour invites you to relive the atmosphere of bygone Montreal through photographs, archives and objects from the McCord Museum’s collection that reflect fashions of the past.

Step into the past and discover 14 storefronts that adorned the streets of Montreal.

Ivanhoé Cambridge - Downtown and Old Montreal

For a fourth year, Tthe real estate company is partnering with the McCord Museum and inviting visitors to follow a circuit connecting eleven different properties. Ivanhoé Cambridge has selected five points of interest for informative indoor components complementing the use of the application. They are located at Complexe Les Ailes, Place Ville Marie, Édifice Jacques-Parizeau, 1000 de la Gauchetière and Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth hotel.

To round out the Ivanhoé Cambridge circuit, visitors are also invited to see the Centre de commerce mondial, Place Montréal Trust and W Montreal Hotel. A whole new way to look at downtown Montreal!
